In this webinar, listeners will have the opportunity to learn from Tim R. Johnston, Manager of Education and Training for the National Resource Center on LGBT Aging – why it’s different to grow older as a lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender identified individual. This interactive webinar explored the culture, needs and concerns of LGBT older adults, reasons why LGBT older adults are less likely to access health and social services, best practices for helping LGBT older adults to feel more included, and lastly, some of the interpersonal skills to reach out to and work with the LGBT community.
