Fiscal Year 2017 Food and Administrative Funding for The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP)

Four pieces of legislation currently govern the level of food and administrative resources available to TEFAP in FY 2017: the Agricultural Act of 2014; the Food and Nutrition Act of 2008; the Emergency Food Assistance Act of 1983; and the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2017 (P.L. 115-31, the Appropriations Act), which provides funding through September 30, 2017. The purpose of this memorandum is to provide final, full Fiscal Year 2017 TEFAP funding information as a follow-up to the FY 2017 TEFAP estimated funding memorandum FNS previously released in March 2017.
