Community Development Block Grants (CDBG)
CDBG provides communities with flexible resources to meet the unique needs of seniors and the facilities that serve them, including nutrition services. The CDBG program is administered by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

Community Services Block Grants (CSBG)
CSBG provides funding to address poverty and the needs of low-income families and seniors. CSBG funding can provide services and activities which include nutrition, emergency services, health, housing, employment, education, and/or better use of available income. The CSBG is administered by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

Social Services Block Grants (SSBG)
SSBG provides flexible funding for state and local services including congregate and home-delivered meal programs and in-home supportive services for seniors. This block grant is also a funding source for social services that protect older adults from neglect, abuse and exploitation. The SSBG is administered by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
